Fred C. Babcock anticipated that customer needs could best be served by distribution of variety of products from wholesale lumber warehouses.
The first step in this direction of building material distribution was the purchase of the Pittsburgh operation Edward Eiler Lumber Co. in 1951. Today Babcock Lumber Company distributes over 100 lines of building materials and lumber products.
Our Company’s ten wholesale building material distribution facilities are located in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia, and Florida.
Babcock distributes a wide variety of name brand building materials and commodity lumber products used in residential and light commercial construction. We also fabricate and manufacture custom laminate and solid surface countertops and roof and floor trusses.
